New Plans
After our big boat plans got cancelled we were a bit numb. But surprisingly quickly, new plans emerged. Other possibilities, locations and cultures.
Sailing a catamaran more expensive than our house also entails a lot of responsibilities, maintenance and even stress. Ports and coastal towns are often located in the rich bubble where we actually wanted to get out for a while. Now that the catamaran is definitely cancelled, it suddenly feels light and free.
So, new plans! We leave for Asia at the beginning of August. First stop: Sri Lanka. Here we will rent a house for a good holiday and rest from the past year. After that we will work on a local organic farm for a few weeks. Meet people, learn from their culture and their land.
And then? Who knows?
This weekend we found a very nice family that will rent our house while we are away. That was the last step before we could book tickets, so now the way is clear to go. Light and free!
